TOWN OF PARIS-CANCELED SUBJECT TO POSSIBLE RESCHEDULE
SEX OFFENDERS RESIDENCY BOARD MEETING
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN THAT the Sex Offenders Residency Board will meet Wednesday, September 26, 2018, at 4:30 p.m., at the Town Hall, 16607 Burlington Road, Union Grove, Wisconsin, for the purpose of the following:
- Call to Order
- Hearing on request from Daniel Olszewski requesting an exemption to the residency restrictions under Sec. 10-25 of the Town Code of Ordinances that would allow him to reside at 20801 – 1st Street, Union Grove, Wisconsin which is located in the Town of Paris.
A portion of this public hearing may convene into CLOSED SESSION pursuant to Wis. Stat. Sec.19.85(1)(f), to consider any medical history of alcohol, drug, and sex offender treatment, juvenile conviction records, and other health information. The Board will RECONVENE BACK INTO OPEN SESSION to continue and conclude the hearing as posted.
At the conclusion of the hearing, it is intended that the Board will convene into CLOSED SESSION pursuant to Section 19.85(1)(a) of the Wisconsin Statutes to deliberate concerning the quasi-judicial hearing regarding the appeal of Daniel Olszewski for an exemption to the residency restrictions that would allow him to reside at 20801 – 1st Street, Union Grove, Wisconsin, and that the Board will RECONVENE BACK INTO OPEN SESSION to announce its decision and move to the remaining items on the agenda as posted.

All decisions of this Board will be reduced to writing and provided to the Applicant.

Notice: Because the members of the Town Board serve as sitting members of this Sex Offender Residency Board a quorum of the Town Board will likely be present. Section 19.82(2), Wisconsin Statutes, states as follows:
If one-half or more of the members of a governmental body are present, the
meeting is rebuttably presumed to be for the purposes of exercising the
responsibilities, authority, power or duties delegated to or vested in the body.
Pursuant to the above statute, this meeting may be rebuttably presumed to be a “meeting” of the Town Board within the meaning of Wisconsin’s open meeting law. Nevertheless, only this Sex Offenders Residency Board agenda will be discussed. No votes or other action will be taken by the Town Board at this noticed meeting.
