For all of its modern history, the Town of Paris has been a rural, farming community. With no
railroad passing through, no town center or main street, the Town was not organized around a
central hamlet – rather it has always been an association of families centered around the
churches, the schools and the town hall.
We are devoting this section of the website to the preservation and sharing of the story of the
Town of Paris. We encourage residents to submit family histories, photographs and printed
materials that can be shared. We will be posting items and links to other resources to allow
people to know Paris and its people.
