PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that the Town Board of the Town of Paris will hold a Special Meeting on Thursday, October 5, 2023 at 10:00 am, at the Paris Town Hall, 16607 Burlington Road, Union Grove, Wisconsin, 53182, for the following:

AGENDA

1. Call to order
2. Roll Call
3. Motion to go into closed session, pursuant to sec. 19.85 (1)(e), for deliberating or negotiating the purchasing of public properties, the investing of public funds, or conducting other specified public business, whenever competitive or bargaining reasons require a closed session, pertaining to a proposed settlement of litigation the Town is presently involved in:  specifically:  Case No:  22-2435, United States Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit, Peter Nelson, Plaintiff-Appellant v. Town of Paris, Defendant-Appellee, Appeal from the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Wisconsin No. 22-CV-1100, and also, pursuant to sec. 19.85(1)(c), for considering employment, promotion, compensation or performance evaluation data of any public employee over which the governmental body has jurisdiction or exercises responsibility, pertaining specifically to performance review for Town Fire Chief.

4. Reconvene into open session and take action, if any, as to the matter(s) discussed in closed session.
