The open house scheduled for 5:00 until 8:00 pm on Thursday, December 11th at the Kenosha County Center has been canceled.
The Natural Gas Pipeline Company of America has informed the Town and the Village that they are going to hold off on a proposed informational open house that had been scheduled to allow the company to provide answers to landowners.
The company has been doing the typical investigation of the proposed route to see if the route would work for them. After receiving information from landowners and officials from the town, village, county and state, the company is looking to the potential of an entirely different route. The company is going to do their typical due diligence to evaluate this new route and determine its potential.
With the likelihood that the initial route will not be their route of choice, they have decided to cancel the open house on the 11th. The Town and Village agree with this decision. The company and the town and village will continue to share updates as information is available. Once a route is determined, the company will contact landowners along that route and will schedule an open house at that time.
